Sightseeing and other activities during a citytrip to Berlin

Berlin has so much to offer that spending just a weekend in hotels Berlijn won't be enough to enjoy all of them. I stayed in a Berlin hôtel for almost a week and wanted to stay back for more. Given a chance I would like to visit this amazing city in Germany atleast once a year. I am sure you would have the same kind of experience once you go through the numerous highlights of the city along with the parks, lakes and woods. Though most of the important landmarks and monuments of Berlin were scarred during the Second World War, you will find them in remarkable condition. One such landmark which I visited on the very first day of my stay in hotel Berlin is the Brandenburg Gate. It was constructed in 1791 and today it stands as the symbol of the reunification of the two sides of Berlin since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

After a visit to the Brandenburg Gate, you can visit the few sections of the Berlin Wall that are still intact near the Hauptbahnof and the Reichstag. This area will make you relive the past of this grand city. Erected in 1961, to divide Berlin into east and west, this Wall was about 160km long originally. This landmark is definitly a must visit during you holidays in hoteles Berlin.

The Reichstag is another important highlight which was located near to my hoteles Berlin. Former Head Quarters of the German Parliament, it is now home to the lower Parliament i.e Bundestag. It is from the balcony of this building that the German Republic was announced in 1918. Those interested in history would surely like to visit this place again and again. On the same day I visited the Alexanderplatz square. If you want to visit the Fernsehturm (Berlin TV Tower) and Weltzeituhr (World Time Clock) while staying in Hotels Berlin, you should visit Alexanderplatz as these sites are located closeby this square.

The highlights in Berlin are somewhat more interesting than Venice higlights. So, I planned a long vacation when I visited Berlijn hotel. One day of my holiday was dedicated to the Zoological Garden or the Berlin Zoo. It is a major tourists attraction of the city being home to many rare species of animals. It also has the world's largest variety of individual types of fauna and a fascinating aquarium.

Berlin offers numerous museums and art galleries which you would love visiting. Few of them are located near the hôtels Berlin. You can visit Museum Island, which is home to some of the finest museums of Berlin such as the Pergamon Museum, the National Gallery and the Altes Museum.

Shopping in Berlin will give you a break from the normal routin of sightseeing. Places such as Ku'Damm are filled with high quality stores specializing in German fashion. I was delighted to find the Europa Center which is Berlin's amjor indoor shopping center with about 75 shops, restaurants and cafes. Similarly there are other shopping areas llike Places to visit in Paris such as Berliner Zinnfiguren, Friedrichstrass, Potsdamer Platz Arcades and Uhland-Passage. You can spend your evenings in hotels Berlin by exploring the nightlife of Berlin. There are plenty of hotspots where you can unwinde yourself. Enjoy a drink at Golgatha and if you are in a dancing mood you can visit Der Leiseste Club der Welt or Delicious Doughnuts.
